As violent crimes become rampant due to "sins," detective Ren Hizuki of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division spends her days fighting fiercely. Meanwhile, Ren is ordered to transfer to the newly established supernatural powers countermeasures investigative team, "Public Security Section 9," where she meets the cowardly detective Yushiro Oboro.
